Divisions

Below are the divisions for the 2026–2027 softball year (starts September 1, 2026). Find your child's age group to see what they'll be learning and how games are played at each level.

6U Division

Ages: 4–6 on Sept. 1st  |  Date of Birth: 09/01/2019 – 08/31/2022

Players learn the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running. A combination of coach pitching and a batting tee are used during games to develop and reinforce the correct batting swing.

8U Division

Ages: 7–8 on Sept. 1st  |  Date of Birth: 09/01/2017 – 08/31/2019

Players learn basic game strategies, stealing, and pitching while continuing to develop softball fundamentals. This is the first level that features kid-pitching in games and a player draft.

10U Division

Ages: 9–10 on Sept. 1st  |  Date of Birth: 09/01/2015 – 08/31/2017

Players learn more advanced techniques and game strategies related to stealing, bunting, the dropped-third-strike rule, and other aspects of the game. Pitching and catching skills continue to develop.

12U Division

Ages: 11–12 on Sept. 1st  |  Date of Birth: 09/01/2013 – 08/31/2015

Players begin to focus on specific positions and advance their individual skill level while learning team concepts. This division becomes more challenging as a 12″ ball is used, hitters face faster and more varied pitches, and pitchers throw from a greater distance.

17U Division

Ages: 13–17 on Sept. 1st  |  Date of Birth: 09/01/2008 – 08/31/2013

Players compete in an environment that develops a thorough understanding of softball and game strategies, advancing their skills in preparation for and during high school play.
