About Us
Encino-Sherman Oaks Girls Softball (ESO) has quickly become recognized as one of the premier USA Softball-affiliated programs in the San Fernando Valley.
Our league was started to provide an enjoyable, challenging and educational softball league for girls age 4 to 17. It grew to become a place where families come together to share the value of sportsmanship, self-confidence and leadership in a supportive environment. USA Softball tournaments, professional clinics, certified coaches and an incredible environment are all part of the ESO program!
ESO offers two recreational softball seasons each year: spring season and fall season. Our spring season typically starts in February and runs through the end of April. It is followed by USA Softball All-Star play and tournaments during the summer months. The fall season focuses on instruction and development. It starts in September and continues until mid-November.
Registration has no geographical limitations and is open to all girls. Each season, girls are evaluated, drafted and placed in age and skill-appropriate divisions from 6U to 17U to help ensure fair, balanced teams.
Everyone at ESO, from board members to manager, coaches and team parents are volunteers. Without the dedication and commitment of our many volunteers, there would be no ESO!
ESO is not just about learning softball. We focus on building a community that provides a rounded experience for our girls which includes special events and fundraisers that allow families to interact and build friendships. These activities are only possible with the generous efforts of our volunteers. So, if you are ready to get involved, come join the fun of fastpitch softball at its best!
